very good! i really like the portamento melodies, and the arps halfway into the song add a nice atmosphere. personally, i think that the compression could be toned down a little because the song has little to no dynamics. i definitely wish that this would be longer.

ssymboint responds:

Thank you xD

Edit: I toned down the compression but, better dynamics but a bit of distortion xD

nice! the sounds are very good, especially that fm-sounding bass at the beginning and the polysynth pad at the end. i think that this track could use less smooth development, because every part sounds too similar for my taste. i like it!

very calm little song. everything could be a little louder, but i think that's all that needs to be done with this.

FirechompGD responds:

thanks!

the mixing does sound kind of muddy, but the composition and progression is very good! i think that the buildup could have used a riser alongside the snare build, and the drop could have had more impact by being louder. i recommend boosting the high ends (but not too much) to make your mix more bright. lastly, during the drop, and more or less the entire song, the drums need to be much more loud, whether through decreasing compression, sidechaining, or simply increasing their volume. nontheless, this is good, and i would love to see you extend this song at some point!

also, that audio visualizer makes me worried.

FirechompGD responds:

Thanks, about that I only use a mobile DAW called caustic 3, it can only export to .ogg and. Wav files so I gotta convert it into mp3, anyways thanks!

this is beautiful! the pitch bending really adds a fragile and emotional effect to this song. the extreme panning is rather disorienting, but i think that that only adds to the track in the end.

ssymboint responds:

Oh why thank you :D, I did go a bit nuts on the panning. I guess I already had a feel for the song. I really do appreciate your positive feedback. xD

the compression during the part with the heavy bass really needs to be toned down; i can barely hear everything else in that part. you should also add some pads or melodies to fill out the empty space in this track (of which there is a lot). the drums could also use some effects like gated reverb or compression to thicken them up because they sound weak. of course, i do like the drum patterns and progression!

needs to be longer! (and louder...) everything else here is great!

the main piano melodies are very good; i love how thick the piano sounds! the buildups to the drops could use some more emphasis, like the risers or snare fills typical in edm. the way you've layered rhythmic loops here is very nice. i really like the saw chords that appear in the middle of the song! the mixing is decent here. maybe this song could use some more variation or sfx to make it even more engaging, but what you have here is great!

some things could be improved. the pre-buildup could be shorter, and the main melodies could use some variation. the drop could also be much heavier (possibly through pads, sub-bass, or just using four-to-the-floor drums instead of that half-step pattern). also, the new melody introduced during the drop is uncomfortably quiet. nontheless, this is a good and surprisingly appropriate song for a comeback to newgrounds!

the unusual harmonies give the song more of an eerie feeling than a sad feeling, but everything else is nice! though, i do wish that this was longer.
