it almost goes full big beat at around 3:14 and i love it, wish you could expand on that more

the dynamics of the piano line are really cool too

Arponax responds:

I wanted to make the last part somewhat unique...by making it halftime or some different kind of beat than at 3:14

But in the end the four on floor felt the easiest and most enjoyable i guess. (maybe i was just lazy i dunno XD)

the piano feels very robotic and plastic, it really needs some humanization and velocity variation (and reverb). i can also hear clipping when the drums come in, probably because of the lack of sidechaining or a limiter. i'm not familiar with the original song's composition but i feel like this could use a proper outro (or at least a fade out).

but aside from these, not bad!

nurdPi responds:

I actually do have a version that faded out however I was sorta torn between the two versions as I didn't know which one I preferred.

really catchy, probably your best so far

OVERSCORE responds:

Thank you! Means a lot

your bass sound design is so damn cool

Quarl responds:

Thank you so much acheney. Kind words are always appreciated :D

the orchestral instruments feel slightly... plastic. not too much, but just enough to get on my nerves. maybe try using more dynamics? (with the exception of the harpsichord) the composition is nice though!

GlaceonDash responds:

Yeah this was, rushed. Really Rushed.

what scale is this in? it feels really off balance and i love it

Viraxor responds:

haha it switches rapidly between scales. so really it doesn't have a scale

yay!!

really cool time signature, cool atmosphere, great job for something you'd normally spend a month making! almost reminds me of the style of unfa (an lmms artist i like)

only criticism is that some sounds are a bit unbalanced in terms of volume, and maybe the sweepy bass is too heavy in the bass? some ott could help i think

GlaceonDash responds:

Very interesting review!

And yeah, some of the sound mixing aspects were rushed, like REALLY rushed.

woah, cool jazzy chords

Scareev responds:
